How to Enable Print Screen key for Media Center in Windows 7 and Vista
Recently I was trying to take screenshots of a movie which is playing in full screen using the Print Screen key but was getting black screen all the time. Then I started searching for a way to solve the issue and found a small Registry trick.
This small registry trick will solve the blank screen problem when you are trying to use Print Screen Key with Media Center in Windows 7. All you have to do is open regedit.exe and go to the following key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\Video
Now create a new DWORD value called “EnablePrintScreen” and set its value to 1.
This small registry key will enable print screen video in Windows 7. The same trick will work on Windows Vista also. Now you can just restart Windows Media Center and then use Print Screen Key to capture video screenshots in full screen mode.
