Organize Your Outlook Calendar and Task Entries on Desktop With DeskTask
Its always very tiresome to open your outlook to check your calendar entries. It would have been good if they are displayed on the Desktop as that removes the pain of opening outlook everytime. With the help of DeskTask you can actually display your outlook calendar and task entries on your desktop. DeskTask simply connects to your Microsoft Outlook and displays the calendar and task items on your desktop.
Desktask is a freeware utility which will definitely ease your task. If you are a manager who has got many meetings everyday, DeskTask will be a very handy tool. With Desktask your tasks will always be visible on the desktop, saving valuable time to launch or switch to Outlook. You can minimize all the windows and see what are the items due for today or tomorrow. DeskTask can also display the whole week calendar entries. Besides the calendar items, the Outlook to-do list(Folder Tasks) is also displayed. There is also an option to show an indicator of the current task in calendar.
Desktask works with Windows 7, Vista, XP and 2000; Requires Microsoft Outlook 2000 / XP / 2003 / 2007 Beta 2.

Seems to be a nice app, gonna try it. I also tried Screen Calendar Outlook to schedule in Outlook while displaying tasks and calendar on the desktop and liked this tool very much. It has much more options than Desktask, but it’s shareware, not freeware. Thanks for sharing!
I’m giving this a shot – I recently became obsessed with cleaning up outlook. I had gone more than 8 months without setting up outlook “rules” and cleaning out my general “inbox.” Now I’m going to delete it, or put it in a folder, and address it. Also, trying to do all of my tasks on outlook – none of this “assorted pads of paper” trash that I’ve been practicing for years on end. Nifty idea to put outlook on the ole desktop… now we’ll see if I can change my personal habits to utilize this tool. Thanks!
