Get Mac OS X Widget Functionality on iPhone With iDashboard
iDashboard is an iPhone utility which mimics the widget functionality of Mac OS X. WyndWarrior has released the latest version 1.0 of iDashboard for your iPhone. iDashboard shows a multi page dashboard for your iPhone and it features a world clock, calendar, weather widget, calculator, lockscreen dashboard, and double-tap Dashboard. It also includes customization features like wall-papers with auto-dim and the ability to change wallpapers through the photo app.
Procedure to Install iDashboard for iPhone/iPod Touch
To install iDashboard you need to have a jailbroken iPhone. If you haven’t yet jailbroken your iPhone you can read Jailbreak iPhone on 3.1.2 Firmware With blackra1n RC3 for Windows or Jailbreak iPhone With 3.1.2 Firmware Using blackra1n RC3 for Mac. Once you have jailbroken your iPhone, install Open SSH and MobileTerminal from Cydia. Also install WinterBoard.
- Step 1 : Download iDashboard 1.0 .deb file
- Step 2 : Now SSH into your iPhone (You can use WinSCP or CyberDuck) and copy the downloaded .deb file in to the “/tmp/” directory.
- Step 3 : Open MobileTerminal from your iPhone and execute the following commands in the same order
- su
- enter root password (“alpine” is the default password)
- dpkg -i /tmp/iDashboard.deb
- Step 4 :Respring your iPhone now
- Step 5 :Now open WinterBoard and enable iDashboard and press the Home button to close WinterBoard
- Step 6 :Now go to Settings -> General -> Home and select iDashboard after turning iPod Controls to ON.
