Acer Liquid – Acer’s First Android Smartphone With 5MP Camera and Capacitive Touchscreen
Acer has finally announced the most awaited “Acer Liquid”. Liquid is the Acer’s first WVGA Android smartphone in the market equipped with a powerful Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon processor running at 768 MHz. It brings unique benefits for the end users and paves the way for a new wave of innovations from the developer community. Acer Liquid combines everything a winning smartphone need these days and is an ideal solution for all the users demanding best from their devices, and in particular outstanding multimedia, video streaming, social media integration and web browsing. It also brings the smartphone product design forward with its unique and modern style.
Acer Liquid comes with a unique and refreshing design with much advanced hardware and software and is truly a real competitor to many other Android Mobiles like HTC Hero, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, DROID by Motorola, Motorola CLIQ With MOTOBLUR and Samsung I7500. It also features a 5-megapixel autofocus camera sporting a HVGA Android-typical touchscreen competing with the Samsung Galaxy.
Liquid is one of the fastest, soon available Android smartphones featuring unique high definition 3.5″ WVGA capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 pixel resolution running on Andriod 1.6 (Donut) also supporting quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as the triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at either 900/1800/2100 MHz (European version) or 850/1900/2100 MHz (North American version). Other features of Acer Liquid include WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR along with GPS, a digital compass, G-sensor as well as a light sensor. Liquid sports the Android typical home, search, back and menu keys, which are touch sensitive. Though Acer does not feature a D-pad or a track ball, it has smartphone typical volume up/down rocker, a camera shutter key which also starts the camera application and a power/stand-by button.
With ellipse curves, slim body shape, Acer Liquid will be available in three lustrous colors (white/black, red/black and black/black). It would be a combination of a smartphone, a personal navigation device (PND) along with a media player. Liquid seems to stand for its unique design-language, identified for its current range of smartphones. With lot many advanced features, Acer Liquid is expected to be available by the end of this year across Europe. Price of the Liquid is not yet disclosed.
