Asus Eee PC 1201K Comes With AMD Geode NX 1750 Processor and SIS 741GX/966L Chipset
Asus Eee is very popular netbook in the market. There are many models in the Eee series and currently, they had come up with a new model – Eee PC 1201K. The interesting part of this machine is not the typical seashell design, but the AMD chip which is placed inside. They have preferred the AMD Geode NX 1750 processor with a SIS 741GX/966L chipset instead of choosing the very popular Intel Atom family.
Eee PC 1201K features 0.3MP webcam, a built-in card reader, 320 Gb hard drive and 1GB of RAM. Including the Windows XP Home as the operating system is the unusual choice, in spite of Microsoft declared that XP will not be support after October. The other features are Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a VGA port, two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, 12.1” LED backlit WXGA display(1366*768) 6-cell battery and a audio in/out.
The price or the release date of Eee PC 1201K is yet to be announced, but everyone is keen to know it. It is not usual to see 12.1” netbook especially with AMD chip, it is a nice change from the regular one. You can find it in your favorite Black and Silver colors.
